| Geek | WinRaR 3.90 beta Has anyone had any trouble with the beta? Im tempted to install as there is a native 64 bit version. |

I dont think you will have any issue's with it, im afraid it's a suck it and see thing, what run's fine on my machine could be a disaster on your's, give it a go and post your result's. Good luck. |

| Geek | Re: WinRaR 3.90 beta seems to work ok, but will require a reboot if you convert from 32 bit to 64 as the shell extension doesnt work until you do. Tried compressing 500mb of assorted files from my downloads folder, took 2 min on a 2.83ghz quad core. See the pic, its pretty well coded to use all cores. |

| Geek | Re: WinRaR 3.90 beta I wont link to the site where i got it from, so i dont get banned for linking to objectionable sites. ive attached it instead, and just so this thread doesnt go completely off topic, ive compressed using winrar 3.90. 5mb bmp compressed to 1.75mb isnt bad. |
