Gtalk call_freezez vista

I have this problem, whenever i try to do voice chat by clicking the call button in gtalk, the system freezes, forcing me to force shutdown (no restart button in my dell xps 430).
Some games, like rail road tycoon, midnight club 2, the system just freezes, can anyone help.

yes this i have tried out, but no use. i hav tried out the exclusive option in sound as advised by some other forum reply but no use there too.
i installed gtalk in windows xp running in virtual box, here the prob is that audio input is not working, though gtalk is :cry:
