Re: Benchmark standards? what program?

Probably not the best ones but the most popular benchmark applications are PC Mark and 3DMark.
Frankly, I never try to benchmark my notebook. Can you believe this?

well.....im not sure i quite understand.

run 3dmark06 & Vantage, for an overall rigs performance.

there are many other benching apps for various components..... what are you looking to bench..??, or do you just wanna test its overall capability..??

Re: Benchmark standards? what program?

i want to test the whole system after the overclocking to see how it is.

i know 3dmark is one of the best for gaming benchmarks.

but i would like something for the whole system not just the gaming aspect.

Re: Benchmark standards? what program?

ok..... here's a few more. , benching is pretty irrelevant unless there's a general database for results.... numbers dont mean a thing if you have no comparisons.

Everest

SuperPI

Street fighter bench

SISoftware Sandra

PCMark

Re: Benchmark standards? what program?

another vote for sandra , and also Everest , you benchmark your cpu cache and ram for latency / read / write / copy etc letting you know exactly how well your current O/C is going , if you have to slacken off timings and speed up ram for example these tests will let you know if your going in the right direction or making things worse

a must if your into your overclocking
