Re: reinstall defualt programs

Depends on what you took off the computer. If it's actually part of windows it'll be in add or remove features in the programs control panel. If it is bundled software that came with your computer from the manufacturer, then you’ll have to find the discs that came bundled with your computer or go to the manufacturer’s website and download them. What is it you’re missing?

Re: reinstall defualt programs

You most likely deleted Roxio. Unfortunately it costs $60 if you want to replace it ( Roxio - DVD Burning & CD Burning Software - Creator & Toast Software ). But if you Google "CD burn software", you will find a selection of several free programs. If you want to burn videos, I can recommend the free DVD Flick ( DVD Flick ).

Re: reinstall defualt programs

How long ago did you uninstall it ? System restore to a point before you uninstalled it should get it back.

Of course that will affect other installs / uninstalls you have done since then as well.

Re: reinstall defualt programs

i remember now, i uninstalled NTI from my desktop. even if i restore my system to a previous point it never worked before, all it did was restore my options it never seened to restore files, and if i tried to restore files, it just restored part of them and pretty much made the program corrupt. basically it never worked for me on any computer.

Re: reinstall defualt programs

If you only burn data discs, InfraRecorder is a great choice. InfraRecorder » Welcome If you require some specialized burning (audio cds, dvd-video, etc) then you'll have to search through your cds to see if you still have the install discs that should have came with the computer. If you specify what you need your burner to do, I'm sure we could all suggest some alternatives for you.

Re: reinstall defualt programs

Gotcha, if restore doesn't help and you don't have the discs I'm out of ideas. Best of luck getting back up and running!
