Browse won't open

Just got a new lappy with Vista Home Basic. 2 programs I use all the time (swftext and cam track) work fine until you select something that should open a "browse" box to browse your files. The program flashes as if it wants to open, but it does not. I have tried compatability, it doesn't help. Any ideas?

Have you tried running the programs with run as administrator by right clicking.
