| Vista Home Premium 32-bit | Re: Downloading Files Hello shells2u, Firefox normally puts your downloaded files in your "Downloads" folder (Unless You've changed it) You can get to that folder by following this: 1.Click on the Start Icon 2.Click on your username (The first tab on the right side above "Documents") 3.Look for a folder called "Downloads" Your downloads should be placed in this folder. Also, in the box where you see your downloaded files you can simply double-click the file that you downloaded to run it. You'll get a "be careful this can be a virus" prompt, but you can bypass it. Hope this helped! |

| Home Premium X64, not impressed with W7 RC yet... | Re: Downloading Files Thats a firefox issue, not vista. Go to the tools menu, click options, and look in the center of the window that pops up. It'll have your download options and tell you what it's set to. |

| Home premium | Re: FireFox Downloading Files? Hi There, Thanks for your help, There is nothing in the download file and there is nowhere to double click, but I went to firefox options and it said they were saved to the desktop?? which there isnt anything there either. But that is fine as was able to change the save folder and options Eg always ask where to save! So from now on should be fine. As for the missing files Hmm maybe I will come across them one day :0) Thanks again Regards Shelley |

| Home Premium X64, not impressed with W7 RC yet... | Re: FireFox Downloading Files? If you go into tools and downloads, does it have the files listed there? You can right click them and there's an option either show folder or show in explorer (can't remember) and it'll show where they are downloaded |

| Vista Home Premium 64Bit | Re: FireFox Downloading Files? shells2u, Try looking on the Desktop, the default download usually is the Desktop, you can change the location, go to Tools, Options, on the first screen there is a spot where you can set default download folder, Good Luck My Friend... | Vista Ultimate 64bit SP2/ | Re: FireFox Downloading Files? Does the same thing happen in IE. Try making a folder on your drive and try and save into that folder. |

| Vista Home Premium 64Bit | Re: FireFox Downloading Files? Yes mansrm81 is right. Also you can check in the Temp folder on the C Drive, You need to make sure that the "Hidden Files" Can be seen to bring the sub folder up... After you click to show hidden files, it should be located in: C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Temp , where UserName is should be the name that you use on the PC... and to click and show hidden files, while windows explorer is open, go to "Tools, Folder Options, View, Hidden Files and Folders, Show Hidden Folders, Apply , then close explorer and reopen to location above. Good Luck.. One other thing you could do is to uninstall Firefox, get a fresh copy and reinstall it. See if that solves your problems... Good Luck Marine43 |
