Vista - Problems with installing CS3 on Vista 64 bit Home Premium

When I try to install CS3 on my system it acts as though it is installing properly. I see the status bars and when this is complete I get the prompt to restart and all seems as though it is going well. When I try and launch the program for the first time I'm never asked for my product key, the program just hangs forever and I get a not reponding message. Same CS3 Disc worked great with the same operating system disc on a different computer! (Vista Home Premium 64 bit). Has anyone heard of this and is there a way around it? help!
