Cannot Install Nero 9

    Cannot Install Nero 9

    I cannot install Nero 9 from instalation DVD. The install window appears OK. As soon as I click on install I get error message cannot locate setup exe. contact vendor.... anyone have ideas what may be the problem...???

    Try closing the installer and looking on the CD using a File Manager like FreeCommander. I have my autostart turned off. For optical drives I go look in a file manager, look in Autostart.inf and see what program they use the start the install. Then I just find it on the CD and double click. Many times these GUI installer things are just an autostart.inf toolkit that makes a pretty window. Just find setup.exe and click it yourself.

    Hello thenosboss,
    This sometimes work, and sometimes it doesn't.
    Create a new folder on your desktop, copy the contents of the DVD/CD in to that, and try and install from there.
    Give this a try, good luck and post your results.
