Some old apps (MOPY Fish etc.) get not compatible Errors.

Hey all, I was wanting to install Mopy Fish and CodeBlocks DCDev R2 when I receive the following error:
Code:
The version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running. Check your computer's system information to see whether you need an x86 (32-bit) ir x64 (64-bit) version of the program, and then contact the software publisher.
The programs always worked on 32bit XP Home, but now that I have x64 Vista Home Premium they don't work at all. Even when I enable compatibility for Windows XP SP2 on the programs and run them as administrator they fail to work. :|

Nvr heard of Mopy fish (lol) but its prolly a 16 bit app. they "retired" support for 16 bit apps w/ Vista (x86 & x64). Took some of my favorite games too (oh how I miss your Grim Fandango, farewell, Day of the Tentacle...*sniff*)
Its kind of co-incidental tho that you have only posted 2 questions to this site and both of them can be resolved w/ the same tool, Virtual PC/Win XP mode, assuming you don't mind paying $200-300 more for the Pro & Ultimate versions of Win 7.
Otherwise I wish you luck, especially w/ the Funaccess point cause there is really no other way. now that I got it working I remembered the most important thing about it..
it was buggy & unreliable long before its drivers became obsolete.

Take a look at free DosBox program. I haven't used it myself but everyone recommends it for old 16 bit dos apps.
