| Windows Vista Home Premium x64 | Having a bit of a problem with Microsoft VPC 2007 Requesting URGENT HELP Hi I'm new to these forums but here is the story. A while back I had a Windows XP PC but it got dumb and crashed. So I just got my new Tower Which is Windows Vista-x64(Home Premium.) On my old machine I had a game I new and loved called Rayman 2 that isn't compatible to Vista . So my only option was to install it under Microsoft VPC 2007.It did Install but It wouldn't play. Here is the issue: I go To play the game and an error pops up that said I need to install DirectX 6.0 so I did. It didnt matter tho cuz I still had the error. So then I realized the error as telling me to configure the Graphics so It had another error when I Opened The "GXSetup." Which was this: Error1.jpg It Didn't Really matter because it still let me open the exe. But HERE IS WHERE THE REAL PROBLEM STARTED. The program successfully opened! But This is what it contained: MajorError.jpg My only thought was what the f*ck I am going to scream. Because from what it looks like Virtual PC Wasn't Detecting Much or anything at all to do with Graphics (the dropdown arrows contain absolutely nothing). Please help me fix it! ![]() Last edited by InvaderZURG; 08-10-2009 at 01:40 AM.. Reason: Forgot to add somthing |

| Vista Home Premium 64 | Re: Having a bit of a problem with Microsoft VPC 2007 That's because Virtual PC doesn't present your hardware graphics card to the guest OS. I doubt you'll be able to work around that. instead, perhaps you should look into getting the game to run on Vista. |

| Vista Home Premium 32bit | Re: Having a bit of a problem with Microsoft VPC 2007 InvaderZURG: You could try running the program in Vista in Compatibility Mode. Right-click the Rayman 2 application file > click Properties > Compatibility tab. Run This Program in Compatibility Mode. From the drop-down menu choose the operating system Rayman 2 runs well on. Tick run this program as an administrator. Apply > OK Ardneh |

| Vista Ultimate 64-bit | Re: Having a bit of a problem with Microsoft VPC 2007 alternatively you could duel boot your PC and run it that way, but I dont really recommend this, you should try compatability mode. If this doesnt work, try Vmware Player (like virtual PC) its more likely to be compatable with something such as this 'it brings over drivers from the host OS' Download VMware Player, Free VMware |
