| Vista Home Premium 64 bit SP1 | Anyone using GigaGet download manager? I guess GigaGet is no longer developed but I like it a lot. I was wondering if anyone knows what settings to use in order to avoid "the url already exists" when downloading? Other than that nuisance, I really like using this downloader. There must be some setting I haven't figured out to get it to stop tracking what I've already downloaded and just download the thing I want! |

| Vista Home Premium 64 bit SP1 | I don't see "url" or "exists" in the FAQ so I doubt the answer is there. |

| Vista Home Premium 64 bit SP1 | You know what, I think it's about web sites(like mine) where the download filename is constant. So the download for MyUtil will be domain/MyUtil.zip no matter what version. When you go to download a newer one, it gives off "url already exists" is my guess. But I don't see an option to auto-rename files if the target already exists like most download managers have. That seems pretty weird. |

| Vista Home Premium 64 bit SP1 | Yup. I just tested it. That's what it is. Now I just need to know how to set auto-rename. I can't imagine a download manager with no auto-rename. |

| Vista Home Premium 64 bit SP1 | Strangest download manager I've ever used. Even if I type in a new name for the target in "rename" field of the download dialog, if it's seen the source URL before, it gives me "URL already exists" and it won't download. Get this, if I select all the downloads in the history and delete them, they will show blank. But then if I try to download a file I've already downloaded, I get "URL already exists" and the dialog history is populated again!!! Really really strange!!! edit: I would have given up on this thing a long time ago but it's fast!! It exploits the download bandwidth surge really well and most downloads under 12 MB are sucked up in a few seconds. Just wish they got the obvious things right though. |

| Vista Home Premium 64 bit SP1 | Ok, I got it now. If anyone else is struggling with this.. you not only have to delete the item from the download history, but also empty the recycle bin(the one in the dialog, not the Windows recycle bin.) Then it will auto-rename if the download already exists. Quirky. |
