| vista home premium x64 | unzip programs If I use winrar or 7zip or whatever, Vista won't extract the files. Winrar says I don't have the rights to do so and won't let me tell it to do anything. 7zip acts as if it is working but the file never extracts. If I open up the folder to extract to and drag the files from the zipper program it asks for permission and will complete the task. Can someone tell me how to tell Vista to allow extractions from winrar or 7zip bha19 |

Simply add yourself to that group Ken |

| Vista x64 Ultimate SP2, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Re: unzip programs Hello BH, and welcome to Vista Forums, 7-Zip requires that you to use Run as administrator on the program. Afterwards, in Options, you can select the file types you want 7-Zip to open. Hope this helps, Shawn |

| Vista x64 Ultimate SP2, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Re: unzip programs It's best to save a file first then open it. However, after you click on Open for the download, you usually have to allow it to be opened first from Internet Explorer. You can use the default ZIP handler in Vista as well for this. |
