Re: winoptimizer 6 ??

I use it - never had a problem .

I particularly like the disk defrag.

It also has quite a few tweaks - to save messing in the registry - for those who would rather have an app. do it for them - it always makes a backup.

Ccleaner is a similar kind of thing - the reg cleaner is much more aggressive than the one in WinOpt.

With all these apps. - including Ccleaner - you have to set up beforehand what you want them to clean - better not to use the one click clean all.

You can get v5.1 free here:

Ashampoo WinOptimizer 5.11 - V3.co.uk - formerly vnunet.com

Leave get free registration key ticked during install - they email you a key. Update it immediately to v5.5

Re: winoptimizer 6 ??

never use any reg cleaner in any app its not worth it , they make absolutely no differance to the running of your operating system

the reason im against things like this is your paying 40 quid for a cache cleaner with whistles and bells , ive tried the trials , they do nothing you cant do yourself for free , i could never recommend something like this to anyone

Re: winoptimizer 6 ??

It isn't really any different to Ccleaner in concept as an all in one app., it includes a couple of extra things like Disk Defrag and file Undelete - v5 is free, not a trial.

As archie says, avoid the reg cleaner on all these apps. - including Ccleaner

That's the truth.
A good cautious decision.

Re: winoptimizer 6 ??

free defrag tool

Auslogics - Download Auslogics Disk Defrag

see theres nothing wrong with these apps , they put all your tools in one handy place and you can run all your optimising and defragging from one click , and even set a schedule for them to run automatically , but 40 quid!!??
