Windows Live Mail opening on its own

Someone started a thread about this problem over a year ago but there was no resolution so i'm having to re ask the question.
Windows Live mail is constantly opening on its own whenever i'm using any program that uses full screen, in particular games, the problem isnt Live Mail as i set Windows Mail as default instead to see if the problem occured and sure enough it did. I uninstalled Live Mail and set Windows Mail to not check for mail at all, but the program still popped up pushing the full screen program i was using to the taskbar. I have fully scanned my system for virus's, malware etc and its clean, i'm using Bit Defender Security Suite, again as a test i shut down its mail scanner option, no effect, i fully disabled the whole suite, no effect.
I've scoured the internet for this problem and the only place i've found a record of it is in these forums but as i said at the beginning it was over a year ago.
Quite frankly its driving me round the bend so any idea's would be welcome as i've run out of ideas
