Re: Adobe Flash issues

Welcome to Vistax64, Ken. Have you tried downloading the installation file to your hard drive and then installing?

Hello Ken Bumgarner,
Re IE.
Adobe Flash Player is not supported for playback in a 64-bit browser. However, you can run Flash Player in a 32-bit browser running on a 64-bit operating system.
Go to Start - Search -Internet Explorer.
You will note that there are 3 x IE there. [32-bit, 64-bit, no add ons.]

Re: Adobe Flash issues

JMH, Ken mentioned that it wouldn't work with FF either, which is why I omitted the reference to IE 64-bit (actually somebody offers a compiled version of FF, but I see no reason to try that until Mozilla makes that move).

Re: Adobe Flash issues

True. I almost downloaded it a while back, but decided to wait for mozilla to compile it and support plug-ins. And, as indicated in this thread, it's not supported by Flash.

Re: Adobe Flash issues

Thanks for the info. Tried to use IE 32. That did not work as well. Seems like a lost call from the other posts on Flash that I have read.

Thanks

Are you saying that Adobe Flash has never run on Vista IE [32-bit] - or that the updated Flash version won't install /run?

Re: Adobe Flash issues

It never has run. The updated flash will load but not run.

Re: Adobe Flash issues

Try disabling User Account Control, just to see if Flash will install and work.
