Kodak Easyshare Software Error

I tried to install Kodak EasyShare Sofware Version 8.0 and get error code 1616X17x2103064800x. This error code is not listed in Kodak's FAQ Error Code Table. Anyone know what is causing this problem.

Re: Kodak Easyshare Software Error

Any particular reason for using EasyShare? Unless there is a specific feature of it that you use, it isn't needed on Vista or Windows 7. It isn't needed for drivers or anything else as most if not all Kodak cameras (unless it is really old) should be detected and a driver installed just fine in Vista. Then it just a matter of using Windows own import feature.

I have a couple of older Kodak cameras (CX4230 and a DX6340), and both work just fine in Vista and Windows 7 (both 32 and 64 bit versions of Windows at that) and EasyShare isn't needed (actually haven't used ES in a very long time, as it isn't even needed in XP).
