Vista - Problem instaling the new Zune 4

I have two other problems trying to install iTuens and Adobe reader 9.1 updates. I think is a registry problem and would like some help. I run win vista 64bit. this is the error message I get when attempting to install the new Zune update:

No installation Media
cant find the media for installation package 'Zune'. It might be incomplete or corrupt.

Error code: 0x80070002


When I go to the link at the bottom of the error message it takes me to a knowledge base. At this knowledge base it gives me the chance to troubleshoot and download the exe file. None of it works.

I have this exact problem on both of my computers. One runs on Vista and the other is XP.

It's probably just a problem with Zune itself.

I guess we'll have to give it more time untill a lot more people complain and microsoft fixes the problem.

installed fine for me on vista home x64. i did a fresh install though as i just got this laptop yesterday. might be worth doing a fresh install.

updating it works fine for me on XP 32bit for the record.

Where can I find the fresh install file?

zune website under products.

Downloaded and try to do a clean install but the update stays stuck at 100% an d nothing else happens. I left the laptop alone all night and in the morning the progress screen from the Zune update still said 100% from the downloading step.

I have not been able to use my Zune POS for a year, and when I nstall zune my media player goes on the fritz.

Microsoft want 65 an hour to help, sooo I bought an Ipod

1) How is it that Apple makes a device that works on my puter and Microsft cant?????

2) does anyone else get the Software may not have installed correctly error, folloed by Zune ine isn't working properly message??? Followed by sending an error message so Bill Gates can laugh and never help you with this issue?????
