is there any driver updater software that is free and works for 64 bit?

DriverUpdater(dot com) works on x64. If you don't pay for the registration, it will only tell you which drivers are out of date, and you have to manually update any you wish to update. The paid version will download and install the updates for you.

Update the drivers yourself. You only need video and sound. The others if something breaks. Software updates are also important.
