Carbonite files won't convert after Vista upgrade

Hello,

I saved my files (32 bit) using Carbonite. I purchased a new 64 bit Dell studio 17 running vista. After recovering my files from Carbonite, when I try to open my old quatro pro 10 files using the (microsoft works) spreadshet that came with the new computer it tells me it is unable to. What program might I use that will open the old files? I have no problem using the spreadsheet that came with the new computer I just need access to my old files in quatro pro.

I am not very computer savy. Thanks in advance for any help you may give.

I'm not familiar with any of the software you mentioned other than Microsoft Works. A google search found some help. I'm going to assume your old Quatro Pro 10 files are .qpw files (or .wb#, or .wq# for older versions). In that case, I think only Quatro Pro can open these proprietary files.

Here's something to try, it's a trial so you can open all those proprietary files and even convert them to types that will last after the trial runs out. Here are the full instructions given on a different forum.

Hope this helped!
