Anyway to bypass the first Vista screen?

When I boot my Vista laptop, the first screen that appears is a blueish screen with a single square box in the middle that contains an orange flower. Underneath that orange box is my user name. I have to click that orange box to get the 2nd screen that contains the password text box.

For a single user, the first screen is not necessary and just requires an extra mouse click. I want to bypass that screen and have the password entry screen be the first screen to appear. Is there any trick to do that?

PS: I do want to retain the password screen in case someone steals my laptop.

Thanks,
Sky (who's lazy)

I think you can just remove the extra user but make sure any other person uses that account.

I really don't understand what you're saying =/

Is there only one user on the welcome screen?

Yes, there's only one user icon with my user name below it, right in the middle of the 1st welcome screen. I have to click that icon to get the 2nd welcome screen that has the user password entry text box.

Just a lazy thing. If there's a trick to bypass that first welcome screen, great! If not, no biggie.

Thanks!

I thought when there was only one user account, it automatically went straight to the password prompt ...

Unfortunately, it doesn't work like that on my Vista 64 bit Home Premium PC. No biggie.

Thanks,
