Solved Outlook: no author

I have hit a key or something in Outlook. Several folders only show size and date, no author/from/return/address.. I have tried everything I know, but can't get it back the way it was.. How do I fix this?

See attachments..

Thanks!

-Matthew

Hi Matthew,
It might be a good idea to run Office Outlook Diagnostics to see if that will help.
Go to Outlook Help menu, click Office Diagnostics, Continue, select the diagnostics you want to run, then click Run Diagnostics.
[Alternatively, you can launch Office Diagnostics from the Start menu. This is found at Start, All Programs, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Office Tools, Microsoft Office Diagnostics.]
Note. Running Office Diagnostics through Outlook 2007 is simple but can be a little time consuming. Depending on the hardware specifications, the number of Office applications installed on the machine, and other resources being used while running the test, it can take between ten to forty minutes to run. You run the tests for the Office installation as a whole, not just for the application from which Office Diagnostics is run.
Hope that helps.

JMH,

Thank you for your suggestion.. However, the diagnostics found no errors..

I was messing with my trackball at the time and I think I clicked a button or something.. When I put it back down I saw that the folder was screwed up.. Now I notice several folders are the same way.. I can't see who sent me what, it is very aggravating...

Grrr...

Aha!! The hand that clicks the mouse is always the prime suspect.;)
Have you tried a System Restore to a date prior to this glitch happening?

Will I lose all my info when I system restore (emails, working files, etc)?

I'm not exactly sure when this happened, I may have to system restore several times..

Matthew ,
System restore points contain information about registry settings and other system information that Windows uses.
It shouldn't revert any of your non-system files like documents, email, music, etc. to a previous state.
