Forgive me it may be a silly question but do you have enable context menu & drag & dropping enabled in your task bar & start menu properties?

Both object dock and rocket dock work in X64 Including Windows 7 - Neither are supported by their respective developers so basically they work but don't expect any support - you're on your own.

Back to the original topic it maybe that as the rocketdock system files are in a protected area of the vista system - the program files (or program files (X86)) folders, you may have to take ownership of the rocketdock folder to allow your username to change these files and thus add to the dock.

If you try running the rocketdock.exe as administrator (right click on .exe and select run as administrator) - if this works then you will need to take ownership of the folder for the program to work correctly normally

oh god i was asking because i thought you had 64 bit vista i thought that might be the issue , i must have expanded somebody elses specs when i was looking for yours :p please ignore me ;)

i dont even use it lol i had the full version from years ago when i had XP i tried it uot about 6 months ago had issues due to me os being 64 bit as the devs are tight fisted money grabbers you have to pay for every new release , no free upgrades

Yes I do but that didn't affect it before and yes I am aware there is no 64 bit support but it was working fine but then decided to freak out.

Out of interest I did load Rocket dock on to my system here earlier, (Win7 RTM 64 not x64 Vista), and was not getting drag and drop support for adding items but was ok for removal

This worked for me - go into dock settings and click "defaults" button (you will not lose your icons). Should be working again.

I have Vista64 and got the same behavior as Mitchell. I could drag & drop between 2 items. You might try adding a blank item, then removing it after you add the stuff you want. It's been so long since I set up all my folders etc on RocketDock that I forget exactly how it goes.
