CCleaner registry scanner

When I run the registry scanner in CCleaner, I get this:

Unused File Extension .DVR HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts\.DVR

Even though I have "fixed" this before, it keeps coming back. I have no problems doing anything on my PC. Just curious what can be the cause. BTW, I do not use windows explorer. I use Powerdesk 7 instead.

Windows VISTA home version (updates up to date).

Re: CCleaner registry scanner

windows file protection could simply be putting it back , forget the reg cleaner they have no benifit whatsoever , stick to defragmenting your registry that has benifits , cleaners do not and can cause problems instead of solving them.

Ccleaner is a fantastic utility and its reg cleaner is much less aggressive than most but i still wouldnt recommend using it
