stop using the drive untill you can get an undelete app. run the undelete and if you haven't written anything to where itunes was located you might get it back. If you are 64 b it make sure the undelete works with 64

good luck and I know how it feels my 65 gig media drive DIED and the backup, of course it didnt work.

Well I am not worried about the music files. I have them on my External. I just want to open iTunes and I can't because that message pops up every time. I have tried reinstalling iTunes but it didn't make any difference.

the error message is saying the folder cannot be found, or the folder cannot be created and is required.

where was itunes created? c:\itunes, or c:\username\music\itunes?

What version of itunes, and is OS 32bit or 64?
