Recently, I have purchased a Dell inspiron 15 with vista home premium 64-tit sp1.
When I tried to install oracle 10g release 2, it couldn't get successful.
Then I am successful installing oracle 11gR1 (win32) but having problems when trying to work with my application developed with forms 6i. Some modules are working, but many are giving some un-trackable errors like ora-00600 (I am not a DBA and not able to figure out the problem).
Now, I am planning to go for formatting / partitioning / and installing windows xp for this application. I am not sure.. whether this will again work out or not?
Pls. suggest me on this. Will VMWare or Windows Virtual machines will work for me?
Or... will this problem get sorted out with the release of windows 7 (a free upgrade available with my purchase)
