Vista - Sony Vegas Problem (no imagine) need codec pack

Hi, well a little FYI about my problem...

I have Vista 64 Bit.

I downloaded Sony Vegas 9, and i could never get the video to fully work. it would play sound, but no imagine. the video file is Xvid.

I downloaded the K Lite Codec Pack but it doesnt seem to help in vegas although it plays in Windows Media player which it use to not.


anyway i did a little research and there is no codec pack yet to allow it to play in vegas 9, so i downloaded 8.

still have the same problem. I have Vegas 8 64 bit.

basically was wondering if anyone knew a codec pack that will play my Xvid in sony vegas ? it doesnt even play in Window movie maker

please help....
