| vista home premium | Installation Server Not responding When I tried to install new Trend Micro software today on Laptop with Vista Home, it seemed to be installing until "Windows Intall" came on ... that's when it froze. I waited forever, and finally got the message ... "Install Server Not Responding". I don't think the problem is the software because it installed OK on two other computers that have XP. Can anyone help? |

I was "installing" the software from a cd but everytime I tried, the Windows Installer would come on (interrupting the process) and after a very long time, would freeze. I kept getting the message " Installation Server not responding". After trying 3 times, I brought up the task manager and closed the windows installer ... and Trend Micro finally continued to install!! Yay, it worked. So, I have my virus protection, but believe I still have a problem somewhere related to Windows. But for today, I'm satisfied. Thank you for trying to help me. Anne |
