Vista - Vista problems with active trader pro

I am having problems with a trading program Avtive trader pro. Any answers would be appreciated

What sort of problems are you having, is it the installation or the running of the program thats giving you the grief.
Also could you provide some system specs, thanks.

The problem is with the charting system on the trading platform. When i try to enter the information on the chart the software (active trader pro) freezes

I would try to re-install and run the program as an "administrator" and check for any updates that may be available, you could also go to the Fidelity site and see if any other users are having this problem.
I have enclosed the setup document for ATP, just to check that everything is as it should be.

Also if possible, try to cut down the number of programs running in the background when using ATP.
I will assume your PC meets the min specs to run this software, so hardware should not be an issue here.

i have been through this with fidelity and still cannot get it to work correctly with the charts. Every thing was working until last thursday. i restored the computer to an earlier date but the problem still exist

If everything else is running alright on the PC, then it has to be specific to this piece of software.
Have you tried a re-install ?, if some of the files have become corrupt this will fix them, other than that, i cant think of anything else to suggest, this type of software is pretty specialist and not the sort of thing you come across on a day to day basis.

I did get it to work. i placed the progam in the data execution exceptions and it worked. thanks for your help

Strange you never got a DEP error, but I'm glad you figured it out.
