| Vista home premium 32bit | Vista + Ventrilo Crashes Hello, I'm a higher then average computernerd but i've got a problem that i cannot fix, it's been around for weeks and i have no idea what to do My Laptop : windows vista SP1 Intel Core2 duo CPU T8300@ 2.40 ghz, 3 GB ram Nvidia Geforce 8600M GS A couple of weeks ago, I brought my laptop to be fixed because my CPU fan was busted, since then I can do everything again except 1 thing and 1 thing alone, whenever I connect to ventrilo, the laptop freezes up and i get the blue screen. It ges too fast too read but I think it says something like USB_BUG_DRIVER. and then it reboots. It can also just stay at a frozen screen doing the DRRDRRDRRDRR sound when crashing. I haven't tried anything to fix this yet, and I need my laptop for school since i don't have a PC anymore. therefore I cannot risk bringing it back again to have it repaired. I can startup ventrilo fine, but when i press Connect to server it dies. if you need any more info, please post and i will monitor this thread the whole day. Kind Regards proxa -Edit : spelling error |

| Vista Ultimate x64, SP2 | Re: Vista + Ventrilo Crashes Hello Proxa, I would re-install Ventrilo, also, un-install all your USB devices in Device Manager, unplug all your USB devices, and reboot, this will re-install all your USB drivers and with a fresh copy of Ventrilo you should be good to go. If not, then at least you know the drivers and software are not the problem and we can go from there. Good luck and post your results. |

| Vista Ultimate x64, SP2 | Re: Vista + Ventrilo Crashes What i would suggest is, upload your BSOD dump file and let somebody look at it. This is where you will find it. Zip it up and upload it. C:\Windows\Minidump Can you list the USB devices you have connected, and did you re-install ventrilo ?. |
