Hi
I'm looking for GOOD program to maintain registry on my Vista Ultimate x64 system. I'm starting to have some problems with my windows and I need to check or setup something in registry. I know that there is not perfect application for that but I'm not programist and I'm not able manually fix it.

CCleaner is pretty much the only program I trust for such thing. You still have to do the backup when it prompts you in case it does someting it shouldn't do and breaks something in the computer.

You have to remember, cleaning the registry is only to be done when troubleshooting as it will not make your computer faster.

Yes, I personnally use it to clean my temp files on my Vista x64 computer and sometimes used it to clean the registry.

Then what is your problem with your computer? There could be another way to repair it than playing in the registry which is a bad idea by the way. We could work out some way of clearing the problem from the program you are having trouble with.

Its freeze sometimes without any reason, and there is some strange problem when I open Firefox. Always it opens three different tabs: 404:Page Not Found, Problem loading page, files.com - Real Soon. It doesn't matter what I setup as a Home Page or Show my windows and tabs from last time ( in this case it opens tabs from last time session + these three extra :(
P.S.
I cannot open Internet Explorer. It opens: http://files (x86)/Internet Explorer/iexplore.exe and message:
Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage

When I put in manually some adress it works.

This behaviour seems to be a trojan in your computer. If you have Spybot Search Destroy installed, then in Safe Mode scan for the spyware/trojan(activated from cold boot by pressing F8, F10, F11 or F4 keys -- depepnding on oyu computer makefor HP it is F8). Also, try using GMER (from gmer.net) in Safe Mode. ** Backup your data on USB, DVD or Network**

Registry cleaners only remove orphans from registry they nothing can fix although they are so called "registry fix" or likely.In your case diagnose your system using any LiveCD with antivirus:

burn one of them.boot it,and scan and post result here.

When I went to download rescue disk from Kaspersky a link didn't work but I gonna find it and 100% I'm gonna try it.
