Windows Media Player has Stopped Working

Help! I am running Vista Home Premium 64 bit, and my Windows Media Player gives a " Stopped Working" message every time I plug in a USB drive or and SD-card.

I've been unable to find a fix for this, and there is no way to uninstall/reinstall Media Player within Vista, at least not that I've been able to find. I work for a computer consultant firm, and even IT has shook their head at my problem.

Below is the Error from one of the many times it has stopped the Media player.

I would appreciate any help or suggestions.

Thank you in advance.
