Windows Media Player - Audio doesn't shut down

Hi guys,

For some reason when I close Windows Media Player 11 the Audio keeps playing even after the Player closes. The only way I can stop it is by opening the Player again and clicking the stop button, then closing the Player again. How might I stop this ridiculous headache?

I should have posted a message about it here months ago rather than waiting this long.
