Problem with Sun JRE 6 update 17

This version installs a Yahoo toolbar and something (I do not know what)
from Mcafee. I do not need anything from Yahoo or Mcafee. Is there a way of doing a clean install of Sun JRE? The installer does not provide options.

How does Sun get away with this nefarious behavior?

I just uninstalled JRE, then downloaded and installed JRE6 update 17. Nothing was installed to do with McAfee, but there was the choice for the Yahoo toolbar:


Easy enough to uncheck the box.

I did not get the same dialog/option to uncheck.
