Problem Using Winrar

I have been unable to link rar files even though I have Winrar. Someone suggested that I get the paid version which I did and this is even more difficult and confusing. When I download say four sections of a movie to my computer. I use to be able to click on the first, hit extract here and it would link all four together into one video. Now when I click extract here it just breaks it down into more files. I have no idea how to join them so that I can view them as a movie. I find Winrar very difficult to use. I am not a beginner but neither am I a pro at this. Can anyone offer any suggestions of help or where I can go to get help? Thanks so much.

Try UnRaring with 7zip. It's free. Also you can get a 64 bit version if you want. Same deal, right click and there's a 7zip menu, then "extract here" commands etc..

You only need WinRar to compress. There are lots of apps that can uncompress/unpack a Rar set.

btw there are a couple of news readers that will automatically join a rar set after download is complete. In fact they will both do a QuickPar repair if needed first.

There may be others but I've used these 2 for more than a year:

They cost about the same, but Usenet Explorer throws in an 18 month subscription to the search engine at no extra charge. When the 18 months runs out if you want to keep using the search engine, you pay for another license. If you don't care about the search engine, the rest of the program stays enabled. They both have their strong points.

If there are free ones that do auto unpack maybe someone else knows which they are but I haven't heard of them.

First let me say thank you very much for taking the time to read and respond to my question. It is very much appreciated. If you have time I have one other question that you might be able to answer before I download 7Zip. If I already have Winrar on my PC and download 7Zip how will my PC recognize which one I choose to use to UnRar with?
At the moment the new version of Winrar which I purchased seems to be working properly. I probably scared it into submission by writing about it here on the forum. LOL

Just one other thing. Have a wonderful and blessed holiday season and a healthy happy new year. Much thanks to you.

In that case I'd say "if it ain't broke, don't fix it." :)
