Roxio DE 10.1 runs slow

I have a Dell Inspiron 530 desk top with 2 gigs of ram & a 500 gig harddrive. When I bought the unit it came with Roxio DE 10.1 already installed. I have noticed that when making copies of homemade dvds, it takes longer to make the temp file than the other version I had wich was the V9 Basic. Is this the software, or another issue??

try to use nero essential.. (free version)
