I've been looking on google for a solution to my problem. I found many who face the same problem, but each was given a different solution.
My problem is that I had WLM9.5 and I uninstalled it because the webcam picture is smaller and worse, while I used to see the picture clearer on 8.5 webcam. I installed 8.5 in new and set it up on 2000 compatibility so that it works. Now when I open WLM8.5 I can chat and do everything, but the webcam and the Video call don't work for me. And I get "we are unable to run audio and video setup" error. Even when I'm trying to setup Audio and Video.
By the way, and to step up some routine answers, I don't have MakAfee, I had Nod32 and when I read about MakAfee I thought Nod32 might have the same problem and uninstalled it but the problem persists.
Also I used the patch given in this thread : http://www.vistax64.com/live-messenger/259556-wlm-2009-video-audio-very-poor.html but in vain.
