problems with a program in vista

Hi
I am using vista for the first time. I installed a program but it does not apear in the programs and features list while it is working well. I decided to uninstall it but I could not do this because it does not apear in the programs and features list so I tried to delete its folder from C:\Program Files but I could not so then I turned my computer in the safe mode and I could delete its folder. Then the problems start to begin: the security center can not see the installed antivirus, when I try to uninstall or install the programs I get: (access is denied contact the administrator) although I am an administrator. Even i could not rename my folders in the C hard disk. also when I try to open system restore I get (There was unexpected error: class not registerd 0x80040154). I do not know if it is virus or a mistake I made by deleting that program. please help me

but in all the restore points from now and back till last month that program is there and I do not want it back again can I go to the last knowngood configuration? or may be I can choose a good restore point but I need to know if that program which I deleted its file from the progrm files will apear again?

If you use system restore and it works, go back to a date prior to installing the program the first time. If you do that everything will be like it was on that day. You may have to reinstall updates or any other changes that you made, but the program will be gone.

No one can tell you definately what will happen, i can only tell you what should happen. If you go back to a date prior to installing the program the first time, everything should go back to the way it was.

in the restore point I found the restore is available till 2/2/2010 so I restored the system to 2/2/2010 and I found that anoying program is there and I could not uninstall another program but I can open system restore point and I need to go more in time like more than one month before this date how I can do this

I do not know much in this area but I think this program which is comodo firewall is the reason of all these problems it was good but in the last days since I installed the program C- Free 4 it became crazy and annoying me.

When you see the date in system restore, that you can go back to, you will see a little box in the lower left. The box says show more points, check it. YOu will see all the points that are available. I hope it works out.

I always keep my files, music, bictures, my downloads, and my work in C:\My Folders I just found that most of these files had gone! this is a huge problem

I tried checking this box but the last point available is not working for me it is 1/2/2010 and now I have my data gone I think I can not undo this restore since it is done in the safe mode?

I cannot tell you to use system restore to correct that problem, because System Restore does not affect personal documents. Try to type the name of some of those files in search, maybe they moved locations. When was the last time you saw them?

yes you are right they moved their location because I changed the names of some folders yesterday thank you for your help now I need more help to get rid of Comodo firewall and to be able to install or uninstall any program. can you give me your advice please

First I am so very happy that you found your personal documents. They seem very important to you. Before I give you any more help or before you take the help of anyone else. Backup those important files. I have important files on my computer, too, (backed up), I know how I would feel if I lost them and I do not want you to feel like that.

the last days I was doing nothing but trying to uninstall it using CCleaner, easy cleaner, advanced installer, revo installer, easy installer and perfect installer but I could not becaue it does not apear in the program list for these programs. now I am restoring the system before installing it

Try to install it again, it will appear and you can unistall, using Revno. If it never appeared it was corrupt from the first day.
