Flash unistaller hangs=error=1002=101.

Hi i am having a problem with Adobe Flash Player.
It will not uninstall the event viewer error report is 1002+101.
I cannot uninstall from my control panel either.
As the popup says it's in progress off uninstalling please wait.
That happens every time i try uninstall Adobe Flash plus ActiveX.
With the Adobe>>http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/uninstall_flash_player.exe>>this tool just hangs after 3/4 unistalled.
The task manager ends task of Adobe Flash uninstaller.

OK thanks,will try next few days using different PC at the moment.
I am of the opinion its a registry problem? :sa:

If you can find the particular ActiveX, perhaps by using something like WinPatrol that shows the IE helpers, try logging off, then logging back on to get Explorer to let go of it. Then open a command prompt in the same folder and run this command:
regsvr32 /u "ActiveXFilename"
(whatever the file name of the ActiveX Control)
and see if it reports the control successfully unregistered. Then try the uninstall. I'm thinking were IE is sort of defacto into the Windows system, it may not let go of it totally just because the browser is closed. Usually logging off will let go of this type of stuff.

Hi thanks for your help i got it flash player fixed except in Yahoo Messenger?
PS:read reply to (stoneys-nutz)

Sorry I don't use any messenger apps. I hate trying to reply to stuff that's scrolling off. It's like trying to edit text on a ticker tape.
