I have the latest Yahoo Messenger 10,0,45,2> on my machine but it wont install in Yahoo messenger? now yahoo Messenger just crashes? :huh:

I have the exact same error. I think it's occuring when trying to launch a little web page asking if I want to add contacts (from email, etc). I have no idea why that would crash ntdll.dll.

I installed IE8, flash 10, etc. un-installed, re-installed messenger. still blows.

Ok yes i still have not fixed yahoo crash.
Amazes me all these geeks in vista no one knows how to fix Yahoo.
Even in yahoo help there is no on that can fix Yahoo.
I even sent Yahoo numerous emails.
No answers from Yahoo team.

I had no problem with Yahoo in the past.
I made a mistake on my last update Yahoo.
And installed the Yahoo Tool Bar.
Thats when the problems with Yahoo crashing started.
I uninstall the Yahoo tool bar.
But Yahoo still crashes.
At a loss at what to do.
Windows solution says update yahoo.
Makes no difference still crashes.

With Windows7 now hard to get help with Vista.

Yahoo Mail Pro gives you tech support, but unfortunately regular (free) Yahoo Mail doesn't. I would uninstall both Yahoo Mail and Yahoo Messenger, and reinstall them both (perhaps not including the Yahoo Tool Bar).

As a word to the wise, make sure ALL of your Yahoo Mail and Messenger files are off you system before you reinstall. To do that, after you uninstall both apps, do an Advanced Search, one at a time, for both Yahoo Mail and Yahoo Messenger, to catch any remnants that are left behind after doing the uninstall.
