burning music using media player

here is what happen .i do have the burning list on the right end side .now my cd is in .but when i clik [start burn] my cd is poping out .why .

It's not detecting that the proper disk is in the CD drive. Does the drive play CDs properly?

but i guess it is working because i use it to install vista and window 7 .

ok. it do play cd-r.
but it don't play dvd-r/16x.
so this is why i cant not download music on the dvd-r .
so i will buy some cd-r .that will work because the cd-r that i try i did burn that cd in 2008 using my computer [same one]
but what id i install nero 7 essensials do you thing that will burn the dvd-r .
but i still have to buy some cd anyway .so i will get the right cd .

Nero 7 (or any program) won't burn information onto a DVD if the drive isn't capable of writing to DVDs. The 2 disks use different lasers to read/write. There is no fix to this save buying a new drive with DVD read/write capability.

I suggest a drive with "DVD RW+" capability. This is a capability to burn information to a rewritable DVD and then burn more information onto it later.

ho boy .i just did put in 2 new drive in my pc .one 500 for window 7 .and one 250 for vista am not running dual boot .what i do is i turn off my pc and change the red cable from drive to drive . but i use vista 95 % of the time .
so i will buy some cd-r disk that all .i did check a the store today they sell 10 for 8.99 at wallmart .

Yes, sir, that would work. You don't need to buy an OEM drive, though, which is the Original Equipment Manufacture. You could buy something cheaper or of a different brand if you like something other than Sony, though Sony does make dependable stuff.

now do you know if i update the driver for it it will work .
and also were cant i find the driver for it
