My OS - WinVistaHomePrem 64bit srvce pack 2
Hello,
I dont use my Microsoft Office 2007 Student Home edition which came pre-installed thru HP. When the trial period expired, I did not renew. I am now using the free OpenOffice.org3.2 word processor which is seldom. I mostly do internet activity with this one-year-old-today PC.
I was told it's ok to uninstall my Microsoft Office 2007 Student Home edition program, so I am not bothered with Microsoft office system frequent Windows Update. I'm also told to make a restore point (which I'm not familiar) before the uninstall.
Below are 7 pending important Microsoft Office 2007 System updates thru Windows Update. Kindly go over them just to make sure there is nothing there that applies to any work or activity involving internet sites/webpages? The same concern goes to any programs within the Microsoft Office 2007 Student Home edition in my OS that maybe involved while I'm on the internet or websites? In the 7 pending updates mentioned, one of them is a PowerPoint Viewer 2007 Service Pack 2 (SP2). Is powerpoint viewer involved in my internet activity with regards to sites?
I'm very cautious in my every move, as I cant afford time consuming errors and corrections, not to mention any errors that may require a costly fee paid tech support from HP or Microsoft for that matter. I'd rather be redundant than sorry.
Also, I have no future intention of purchasing MS Office 2007 as I have no use for it.
Thank you for your valuable assistance. I hope I explained myself well.
