hi, my media player stopped playing, so i tried a system restore, but it only gave me one date,today's date, how do i get back to a older date,and also i was going to try sfc/scannow, i went into programs, accessories,but there is no command prompt showing, can anybody give me any directions, i have windows vista premium 32-bit, thanks,patch41.

The restore dialog should have a radio button with Recommended Restore but down at the bottom there should be another with Choose Another Restore Point. Click that one. If you don't have any choices besides today it's probably because you don't have any older restore points.
