Hi to all

my friend has a problem with his Office 2010

he bought the original cd from market

but now he can't install it

windows visa showing error and not accepting

Method 2: Turn off compatibility mode

To resolve this issue, you must disable compatibility mode before you try to install Office 2010. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Right-click the Office 2010 Setup.exe file.
  2. Click Properties.
  3. Click the Compatibility tab.
  4. Click to clear the Run this program in compatibility mode for check box.
  5. Click Apply, and then click OK.
  6. Double-click Setup.exe to install Office 2010.

From the version you posted (and the error message which suggests a compatibility issue that even running compatibility mode will not solve), it looks like he has not upgraded to even SP1 let alone SP2 - and at least SP1 is required (I'm not certain, but you made no mention of it and I seem to recall the version number with SP1 was a bit different than what you posted). You can tell by going to Start / Computer / System Properties and see if it says SP1 or SP2 in the description. If not, that's the problem and he needs to update his system and bring it completely current (fully upgrade while you're at it - there are some important updates he is missing without doing so). Even if it says SP1, still update until you are current (including SP2). Then try the installation again and it should work.

This is quoting Vista SP0. Get your friend to install Vista SP1. :)
