Help!
I purchased Microsoft Office 2010 and downloaded to my laptop. It's a HP Pavillion DV6000 running 32 BIT Vista. After installation I cannot open Office or any associated documents. The error message is:
The application has failed to start because it's side by side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log for more detail.
It was running quite happily on Office 2007 which I uninstalled but I have tried system restore without success and I no longer have the 2007 software.
Is this something obvious that I'm missing or am I in serious trouble with this?
I'm not to bothered about having to do a full restore (although it will be a pain in the butt!) but there is no guarantee that 2010 will install correctly even then.
Any ideas anyone??
