I've discovered a problem with my Microsoft Words 2003 this morning. When I open words and then make another window active, and then come back to words, it stays unresponsive for about 10 seconds and the cpu jumps from the low 20% to 100%. And the funny thing is, this only happens to words. I've tried excel, PowerPoint, onenote, and they all work fine.
