Had to reinstall vista but cant register

Hey guys just needed some help,
I had to reinstall vista on my lappy that had oem installed vista.
The vista i installed came from the internet (shhhh)
Im trying to put in my code to activate it from the windows sticker on the lappy.
Can this be done and how?

The only help that I can give in this situation is to give me the name and model of your computer and we can reinstall with a restore to factory settings?
There are 2 ways
With the DVD that you received when you bought the computer
or
From the recovery partition.
If no DVD, tell me name and model and we will see how to get to restore partition.
It is either f10 f 11 f12 or alt and some other combination

We will not help with a copy from the internet, it is not safe, even if legal.
We will only give help with legal reinstall methods.
The methods that I am suggesting are legal and will probably work.
