Solved Micro soft word 97 student/ adding a line

I'm tring to add a line of recent work history in a word doc. I cant for the life of me figure out how to do this....

I created it, saved it about a year ago... put it on a flash...

Now I just wan't to do just one little bitty update on the word (student home) version and am stuck...I feel like a donkey up to its eyeballs in mud...

I dunno', just don't.........I feel like such an idiot...and to top it all off I'm a teacher, I should know better than to feel this way....

Heck, I would be willing to e-mail the damn thing to one of you, I just need to add

July 2010 - January 2011 Electronics instructor....


Ironic huh?....Can't even add a sentence, BTW This is a one page resume if need be I can eliminate a few jobs I had back in 5700 B.C.

Dont know what the problem is but try this
Copy and paste into a new document with a new name
or
rename the document
or
copy into note pad then copy and paste into word
or
check permissions
Sharing and Permissions - Windows 7 Forums
Did you make this thing on another computer or user account (use same account) or with another Operating System?
or is it set for read only?

O.K. Rich...My OS is vistaX64 if that matters, but you have given me quite a few options to work with...

BTW all this was generated on this machine, whereas I am the Admin. I like the copy and paste>notepad>word doc. idea....will be sure and let you know...

But tonight, uggggg...me have a tug or two....

Im sure one of those suggestions will work. You cannot change the document, one of those have to be the reason.
