can't delete explorer.db files

i have tried 5 different programs and nothing has worked.

I recently wiped its free space and then restored its software to original state. I wanted to clean up the new .db files but provacy eraser pro, eats tec eraser, even heidi's eraser program do not work.

They worked before though. And just today i discovered the .db files have been renamed with random letters and .TA, .DP, .RT, .RC, .HO, AND .DS extensions.

Now I had just downloaded a thumnsview and thumb cleaner programs. i may have tried to run one of them, but i don't think so.

What is going on...truly a mystery. Vista Team Assemble!

Thanks...one program was able to force delete: but then said i had to wipe all free space to erase it: that is a broken program i will not use again: didn't give me a heads up first!

Still wonder why the .db files were renamed...!
