even though im running windows vista i havnt bought windows 7 its just an easy download thats it lol could it really be that simple

What you want is called anytime upgrade and its as easy as a download. It is not the best way to go however. You want to buy the DVD and do it the way that is shown in the tutorial. With the anytime upgrade, any problems that you may have, virus, corruption, may be carried over to the new install.
