Solved programs

this may seem like a silly questions to some but it a hard 1 for me! lol im tryn to clean out allthe programs im not using, about half way through the list of programs,ill come to programs that only have tha names,no install date, etc.ect, only the name... my question is am i using these programs, and how do i uninstall if im not, any help is appreciated

Give us the name of the programs, maybe we can help.

You can also try a clean boot. If you do not miss any of the unticked programs, you do not need them. Be sure they are not programs that you use once in a while, like Word or Excel.

to name a few

Go to search, type msconfig. Do any of those programs appear in startup programs?
Any program that appears, untick it and use the computer for a while, boot, shut down etc. If not missed they are not needed.
For the others Google to see the function, if not used by you, they can be removed.
If used by you do not remove.
Make a system restore point before uninstall, in case you want it back
Any that you can not find in Google, let us know and I will try to find the purpose.

sry this took so long, i keep loseing signal from clearwire, big mess...
it seems i dont need the programs, but i still cant unistall, ill click on it and it dus nothing

Try downloading and using revo.
Revo Uninstaller Pro - Uninstall Software, Remove Programs easily
You can also try in safe mode.

Some of these may be system files that are protected, the JAVA files are required.

The files that will not uninstall, can you make a note of them & let us know?
As roy69 very rightly says, some may be protected, so need them.
